Rocsole's Sand Watch does much more than simply detect sand breakthrough. Our system images the sand and solid layers and monitors the fraction of the layers in a pipeline, separator or other vessel. The system is uniquely able to monitor the solid layers in multiphase flow containing gas.

Utilizing leading-edge tomographic technology, our Probe Sensor is a real-time non-radioactive monitoring solution that physically sees and measures a tank’s emulsion layer, improving separation efficiency by optimizing residence time and resulting in higher quality output downstream. Process imaging and measurement is accomplished using a sensor, which is simple to install and requires minimal maintenance. The system works with solids, foams, liquids and gas.
Measure Solid Levels and Mass Flow in Pipelines
This video shows a cross-sectional image of the Rocsole Sand Watch, installed into a pipeline with water-gas flow, where the sand layer appears on the bottom. Our system is uniquely able to measure the sand layer—even with the presence of gas in the flow.
Optionally, Sand Watch can be paired with a real-time solid layer speed measurement with an accuracy of ±2 % of the total mass flow of a partially filled pipe geometry.
